This is an extraordinary image. An image that not only tells a story but one that invites the viewer in to imagine it's story.

The lighting and tone of the image are perfect. I love the way the light washes over from the side on both the subjects.

The background is a beautiful compliment to the image as it holds just as many contrasting elements and the two people.

But of course, what makes this image truly wonderful are the expressions captured. The man has such a pensive, contemplative look. His body language is much more closed off. While she, in contrast seems relaxed and open. Her expression is one of confidence and possibly curiosity.

For me, it is a wonderful blending of contrasting elements. The softness of the waves against the harshness on the right. The glowing light among the shadows. He appears to be looking inward while she is looking outward. I see him as looking back and she is looking forward.

And I really tried to find something I would change bc I think a good critique should offer some ideas for a different perspective but I just can't find a thing. The shot was a great capture and the post processing makes the most of the shot. I wouldn't change a thing!! Fabulous work!!
